Are you recently engaged and thinking about the possibility of pre-marital counseling? I would encourage any couple no matter their age, how long they have been together, or how great the relationship is to invest in quality premarital counseling. It is one of the most important investments you can make in your relationship. We all want our relationship to be the one that defies the statistics and lasts a lifetime, and while pre-marital counseling is not a guarantee that yours will, it can give you the tools you need to overcome many of the obstacles newlyweds face today.
Many counselors and churches offer premarital counseling, often using a pre-outlined curriculum. While following a curriculum can be beneficial, couples may miss the opportunity to focus on what they need as a unique couple.
I offer a 6 session pre-marital program to help strengthen communication, understand differences, and promote growth. I am a Prepare/Enrich facilitator, and utilizing the prepare/enrich assessment I can tailor your premarital counseling to the unique strengths and growth opportunities that you have as a couple, which can better equip you as you begin your life together.
